On May 7, the Child Dignity Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University held a training webinar for specialists from the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Childcare of public organizations. The topic of the training was “Creating a Safe Environment for Children in the Civil Sector.”
Ivanka Rudakevych, the Head of Projects and Programs at the Center, spoke about the importance of a systematic approach to creating a safe environment for children, highlighting the role of safeguarding policies and the mechanisms for their implementation.
During the first lecture, participants discussed the concept of safeguarding and its key components, as well as the international standards that shape this system. The second part of the webinar was dedicated to safeguarding policies aimed at preventing violence against children.
In the practical part of the training, participants analyzed case studies, which helped deepen their understanding of how to prevent risks and create a space where children feel safe.
