У межах масштабної конференції українських студій «Україна у світі» Центр гідності дитини УКУ представив у Центрі Шептицького виставку-інсталяцію «Розпізнати. Реагувати». За два роки мандрівок сімома країнами Європи вона допомогла збудувати мости між різними інституціями, які мають дбати про безпеку дітей.

Проєкт «ГОВОРИ» — став переможцем премії «Освіторія.Медіа Award 2026» у номінації «Відкриття року». Цією відзнакою підтримують освітні ініціативи, які створюють реальні зміни у громадах та формують нові підходи в освіті.

Що означає повага до гідності дитини на практиці? Як створити середовище, у якому дитина почуватиметься в безпеці — у школі, лікарні, родині та громаді? Ці питання обговорили під час панельної дискусії «Бути дорослим поруч: відповідальність за гідність дитини», яка відбулася 18 травня у просторі «Сенс на Хрещатику» в Києві.

У межах проєкту «ГОВОРИ» Центр гідності дитини УКУ у партнерстві з Департаментом освіти та культури Львівської міської ради провели цикл із трьох вебінарів для відповідальних за безпеку у школах.

Виставку від Центру гідності дитини представили у Трірській дієцезії Німеччини. У квітні під час Днів святої туніки, одного з найбільших католицьких свят у Німеччині, у головному соборі Тріру відбулося відкриття виставки «Розпізнати. Реагувати» від Центру гідності дитини Українського католицького університету.

To mark the fifth anniversary of the UCU Center for Child Dignity, a panel discussion titled “Child Safety: Adults’ Daily Actions” was held. Participants discussed why violence is passed down from generation to generation, the underlying causes of bullying in schools, and how to build trusting relationships with children so that they feel safe.

The Ukrainian Catholic University hosted a workshop titled “Child-Friendly Church” organized by the Center for Child Dignity. Its goal was to help parish teams assess their work with children and evaluate how safe and child-friendly the church environment is, as well as to develop project ideas.

The team at the UCU Center for Child Dignity has prepared an interview offering practical advice on how to implement the “SPEAK UP” program in schools, organizations, and communities. Using Lviv as an example, where the project is already operating successfully, experts explain where to start the implementation, how to make it comfortable for children and staff, and what helps turn child safety into a systematic practice.

On February 20, a presentation of the project “Safeguarding. Child Safety in the Church Environment.” This was made possible through the collaboration between the UCU Center for Child Dignity and the “Human Dignity Strategy” initiative of Sapientia College of Theology, both of which work in the field of violence prevention within the Catholic communities of their respective countries. Hungary became the seventh country to join the project.

On January 21, the Child Dignity Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University celebrated its 5th anniversary. On this occasion, a gathering was held with partners and colleagues. Under one roof, we managed to bring together over fifty of our friends: representatives from the church, education, civil society, and medical sectors, as well as government institutions.

Prague has become another point on the map of the Center’s international project: on January 21, the exhibition “Recognize. Respond” was opened here, and the Czech version of the online course “Safeguarding: Child Safety in the Church Environment” was presented. Thus, the Czech Republic became the sixth country to join the initiative, following Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, and Slovenia.

The Child Dignity Center of UCU is launching the “SPEAK UP” educational program for communities, schools, and civil society across Ukraine. After a successful pilot in the Lviv community, the team is making the program publicly available so that any institution working with children can implement a modern and effective system for their protection.
