Course "Safeguarding. child safety in the educational environment"
What is this course about?
"Safeguarding" is a global prevention practice aimed at preventing any violence against children.
The course "Safeguarding. Child Safety in the Educational Environment" course is necessary for teachers, educators, school psychologists, social workers, leaders, representatives of the administration of educational institutions to understand how to recognize a child who is being abused, how to recognize the abuser, what types of violence are there, and to know the norms of behavior between school staff and children and what to do if there is a suspicion that a child is being abused, where to seek professional help.
After watching the course, you will learn:
- the components of creating a safe environment
- which adults are safe for children and who are school safety officers
- types of violence: physical, psychological (emotional), sexual, economic, and harsh discipline
- how to recognize an offender and protect a child
- rules for responding to danger if a child asks for help
- algorithm of actions in case of detection of violence against a child.
The program consists of 6 short videos of up to 10 minutes and a pdf supplement with useful materials. After the final test, each participant receives a certificate.
The form of study is remote, asynchronous. You can attend lectures at any time convenient for you.
