“Norms of behavior at christian camps” (TRAINING SESSION)
What is this opportunity about?
All events organised for children or meant to engage them must be accompanied by qualified adults who can show empathy and provide a safe environment for the child. To guide you in how to do this, we developed the “Norms of Behaviour at Christian Camps” document for organisers, volunteers, and animators.
The suggested training is based on this document and covers the following topics:
- 13 safety rules every camp participant should know
- The concept of violence, its types and indicators
- Rules of acceptable and unacceptable behaviour towards minors and vulnerable adults in camps
- Talking to a child who has been abused
- Duties of the person responsible for safety at the camp
- Response algorithm in case of detecting violence against a minor or vulnerable person during or before the camp
We developed these Norms so that every mentor/educator team member understands, knows and follows the rules and norms of safe behaviour at camps. They are also meant to be communicated by the organisers to every participant.
This training session is designed for:
Organisers of children’s camps, animators, volunteers, camp staff, participants and their parents.
Terms of participation: free of charge.
