“Safety policies in schools: how to create risk response scenarios?” (TRAINING SESSION)
What is this opportunity about?
The UCU Child Dignity Center aims to prevent violence among all stakeholders working with children. Education is one of the key stakeholders, for educators spend almost as much time with children as parents. Therefore, educators have to provide a safe environment for children.
Developing and enforcing safety policies is one of the best ways to prevent violence. Security policies are a document adopted at the level of the organisation, which initiates and supports the mechanism of ensuring safety for minors and vulnerable persons. It helps identify the risks and see how they can be managed through safe hiring processes, basic norms of behaviour and an algorithm for responding to their violations. It also determines ways of introducing these mechanisms into the institution’s life.
During the webinar, we will talk about the following:
- How to write security policies?
- What are the risks of violence in an educational context?
- How to act in such a situation?
- Why should the school become a safe place for the child?
- What do organisations need to know to create healthy learning environments for children?
This training session is designed for:
School principals and administrators, teachers, and psychologists.
