Child-friendly church
Self-assessment tool for a child-friendly and safe environment for parishes/organizations
To ensure the success of your activities, it is essential to periodically review what has been accomplished, how it was done, whether the goals have been met, and where we are headed next. In creating a child-friendly environment, the key goals are to ensure child safety and integrate children into that environment.
As part of the Child-Friendly Church project, we have prepared a free self-assessment tool for you, which will enable you to:
- analyze your work with children in detail in terms of safety and integration of children into parish life
- review current measures for the protection of children
- see your strengths and weaknesses in this area
- generate new ideas or improve existing initiatives at the parish/organization level
- identify areas for development and areas where you need reinforcement
By using the self-assessment tool, you will receive guidance, recommendations, and complimentary resources to help your parish/organization enhance its activities in creating a safe and welcoming environment for children.
You can complete the self-assessment on your own or with your team, conclude for yourself, and use the indicators to develop a further strategy for working with children.
No one but you will know the results — we keep your information confidential.
